A group, the Renewed Hope Advocates, has donated N50 million to support the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Caleb Mutfwang in 2027.
Mrs Beatrice Dakas, the National Coordinator of the group, disclosed this during the inuaguration of its National Executive Council on Thursday in Jos.
The event had party faithful, political stakeholders and delegates from the six geopolitical zones in attendance.
Dakas said that the donation marked a significant political moment, underscoring growing support for Tinubu and Mutfwang ahead of the next electoral cycle.
She noted that members of the organisation from across the country were present to unanimously endorse Tinubu and Mutfwang for a second term.
“This gesture was borne out of our admiration for Tinubu and Mutfwang leadership style and visible developmental strides across Plateau and Nigeria.
“Tinubu and Mutfwang are purposeful and selfless leaders, whose administration have inspired confidence and renewed hope among citizens.
“We remain committed to supporting, encouraging and praying for the president and the governor to succeed.
“This movement will intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts to urban centres; the achievements of both leaders are enough justification for continuity in governance,”she said.
Dakas particularly appealed to Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, insisting that his bold reforms, courageous leadership and determination to reposition the country would soon manifest.
She acknowledged the prevailing economic challenges, but maintained that the president has shown resilience and commitment in addressing long-standing national issues while laying foundation for sustainable growth and stability.
Responding, Mutfwang, represented by his Deputy, Josephine Piyo, thanked the group for the support.
He described the move as a renewed dedication to purposeful leadership, good governance and national development.
The governor also noted that the group represented a movement driven by unity, conviction and confidence in Nigeria’s future.
Mutfwang urged the newly inaugurated executives of the group to embrace service, discipline, loyalty and sacrifice, stressing that leadership must be measured by responsibility and impact.
