The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission has directed the restriction of movement in Enugu State ahead of the local government council elections scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024.
In a statement signed by the Head of the Department public Affairs, George Okwelu states that, there will be restriction of all vehicular and human movements throughout the whole state except for those on essential duties from 8:am – 4pm.
The statement further states that, all markets shall be closed to allow the citizens exercise their voting rights.
Eligible voters are advised to go to their designated polling units and cast their votes.
