The Police Service Commission, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, has announced that the written examination for police constable recruitment will hold from April 28 to 30, 2026, across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

A statement by the commission says only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening will be eligible to sit for the examination.

Qualified applicants are required to visit the official recruitment portal at www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from April 24 to print their Examination Invitation Cards, which will contain details of their exam date, time, and venue.

On the day of the examination, candidates are expected to come along with a valid National Identification Number slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission, their printed invitation card, and writing materials. The approved dress code is white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.

Meanwhile, the Commission has issued a strong warning against fraudsters and job racketeers, stressing that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge.

It cautions applicants to avoid any individual or group demanding money or promising undue assistance, noting that anyone found engaging in such illegal activities will face the full weight of the law.
