Super Eagles of Nigeria have played out a 1-1 draw against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match South Africa took the lead in the 29th minute through themba zwane who dazzled past the Nigerian defence to send the ball beyond the reach of Stanley Nwabali in goal for the super Eagles.
In the 46th minute, fisayo Dele Bashiru got Nigeria back into the game with an exquisite also efffort from outside the box .
The super Eagles, as a result of the draw , remain winless in three games of their qualifying campaign, and sit in fifth position as their quest to make it to the 2026 World Cup hang in the balance.
